As you can see there has been little activity in the past week. We located the source for the rotten eggs being thrown at houses
in and around the Locks Heath area and have arranged for the area to be made secure so that more cannot be taken. Since this time it appears things have improved and no more reports are forthcoming. We have an unmarked vehicle operating with us in the near future so that should be interesting. These vehicles always tend to get good results in terms of both crime prisoners and dodgy driving methods. I will get feedback from the crew and update accordingly. Pedal cycles are still being stolen where they are left insecure. I know I rattle on about it, but please try to lock your bike, if you have one, even if you are just popping into the shop. If you have young people in your house make sure they've put the bike away and not left them laying on the front lawn or pavement all night. This weekend is traditionally busy for us with it being the last before Christmas. With this in mind we have an operation running over the weekend targeting street drinking and anti social behaviour. We've run this in the past and it has proved very effective at detecting such behaviour and deterring further instances. Finally we have had a few instances of purse thefts in Stubbington and Fareham Town from elderly citizens. As a result my PCSO's have been visiting some of the sheltered housing locally and giving out lanyards to attach to their wallets and purses. If you feel this would be of benefit to you or a neighbour please pop into Park Gate or Fareham Police Station on your travels and request one. That's all for this week, take care PS 2208 DAVE SPACEY Safer Neighbourhood Team Park Gate West Tel 0845 0454545 Ext 645 152 Fax 02392 891950
